Breaking news!

Together we have broken a Reconciling Works record: we will have volunteers hosting displays in 48 of 65 Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) Synods for this year's assembly season!  Please consider helping us by making a donation.  You can go to the reconciling link above to donate or for more information. Thanks!

The colors of the Rainbow Flag have meaning!

You are not alone

Supporters of LGBTQ people and families are not the minority in our Lutheran church, but are the growing majority. ReconcilingWorks is committed to this work, but we cannot do it without the support of partners like you.

I want to share with you my story highlighting how important the welcoming Reconciling in Christ spirit in my community was to me when I came out last year at the age of 79. (Click video above to see his story.)

Let’s work together to ensure a welcome in this Lutheran church is expanded and deepened for people of all sexual orientations, gender identities and expressions. Any contribution in an amount fit for you and your family will help achieve this goal.

You are but one person, but you are connected with many others. Take a moment to share my video with your friends and family on Facebook, Twitter, or in an email. Tell them why ReconcilingWorks matters to you and the church and ask them to celebrate with us.

In God's Love,

Al Lewis

Can You Help with A Dream!

A published poet and gay man has a dream to edit and publish an anthology of poetry and short prose.  There are anthologies written by people of faith in the Christian community, but few are by Lutherans and none that he is aware of by LGBT members of ELCA churches.  His dream has reached the planning stages, can you help him.  He is seeking anyone who belongs to synods and parishes around the country who have written poetry or short prose and would like to share it.  Please contact our church if you are interested in helping him with his dream.
