It will be held on Monday November 20 at 7:00 p.m. at Pilgrim Lutheran Church. Folks from Pilgrim Church will join people from St. Mark's Church, St. Timothy's Church, and the West Bay Community Jewish Center. We planned the service for Monday so people are free to travel as it gets closer to Thursday. Please bring food for fellowship after the service coffee and drinks will be provided.
Remember the Fall and
Christmas Seasons are coming!
It is not too early to start thinking about Pilgrim's gift cards. They make great gifts for family and friends and everybody! If you don't know what to get that special person then why not consider a gift card to their favorite place to shop. Place your orders early so you will be sure you have them in time. We have a list of all cards we offer. Many we have in stock and available immediately. They are sold after the 8:00 and 9:30 services. If we don't have it in stock it will be order and available the following Sunday for pick-up. In order to purchase them we gladly accept either cash or checks.
Remember any month or season of the year the Altar Guild will be glad to receive a request for Altar Flowers.
It is a wonderful way for you to honor your family, loved ones or friends by remembering their special occasions, milestones, anniversaries or birthdays each year. Why not remember someone you care about!
Flower envelopes can be found on the table in the narthex. For each request, we ask for a $30 donation. Once completed, envelopes may be placed in the offering plate or dropped off to the church office with your donation. The flowers will be distributed after the late service each week to those that are ill, shut-in, or celebrating a special occasion at the discretion of the Pastor.
Hurricane Harvey, one of the most powerful storms to hit the United States in years, made landfall last night, threatening millions of our neighbors in Texas and Louisiana with heavy rain, wind and rising tides.
The National Hurricane Center called the storm’s effects “life-threatening, devastating and catastrophic” and predicted long periods of rain and flooding, along with massive power outages. While many have evacuated, significant damage is still expected, and thousands of people may be housed in shelters for extended periods of time.
We have an opportunity to accompany our neighbors during and after this disaster, in Jesus Christ’s name.
Your gifts are needed now to help those affected by Hurricane Harvey. Your support through Lutheran Disaster Response will bring hope and healing to those who have been or will be affected by this hurricane. Lutheran Disaster Response is already collaborating with our affiliates to initiate recovery efforts.
While the storm is not over, you can help now. Gifts designated for “Hurricane Response – United States” will be used in full until the response is complete to help disaster survivors recover and rebuild.
Stay connected to the latest events and our response to this and other disasters through our Facebook page. Join me in prayer and partnership, and use this bulletin insert in your congregation to help spread the word. You can find additional resources for worship here.
